FacebookMSI’s programme in Burkina Faso first opened its doors in August 2009 and has since become one of the country’s leading family planning and sexual health organisations.
MSI Burkina Faso has extensive national reach, offering services in all administrative regions of the country, across urban, peri-urban and remote, rural areas. MSI Burkina Faso provides a range of sexual and reproductive healthcare services, including contraception, cervical cancer screening, pre-and post-natal care, and post-abortion care for clients who have undergone a former unsafe or incomplete abortion.
To ensure that no one is left behind, providers at MSI Burkina Faso are trained to deliver tailored healthcare for marginalised and underserved communities, including women living in extreme poverty, people who have never used contraception before, those who have no alternative access and adolescents. Since the launch of its first youth centre in 2013, MSI Burkina Faso has provided tailored healthcare to Burkina Faso’s young people, ensuring they can make the reproductive choices that are right for their future.
